As longtime visitor to Australian shores – either on tour or as a holidaymaker – since Alan Thompson made the fateful decision a few years back to relocate down under permanently he’s managed to maintain his career as a revered name in the house music scene. The motive behind Alan’s change of scenery was “lifestyle”, and since he packed his bags and left the UK he hasn’t looked back. In spring, 2005, Alan launched ‘Housexy’, the newest mix series for Ministry Of Sound, and he’s also held down successful residencies locally for Defected and DTPM, as well as touring the country regularly. His profile as a DJ is enviable, having found favour within both the gay and straight club scenes throughout his career.
